Back on the 4th I had some really good accuracy with 6.1 grs. 45 ACP JHP defense loads so what I have left is reserved for that. True Blue is still one of my favorites for pure accuracy but it also works extremely well for my. Since you're using some NobelSport/Vectan powders now, Ba 7 1/2 is their equivalent of V-V N350 which is also a good choice for 9mm JHP defense type loads. Maybe he'll give us a report in the future. Saw some in IronMikes pics of his new gun safe. Unique does well in 9mm and I'd like to see some reports on BE-86. Power Pistol also but I haven't used either for many years going exclusively to sphericals. JHP over a Max charge of Blue Dot which produces a very nice fireball for those who like that sort of thing. One of the faster loads in mine was also one of the most accurate. I get very good stats with he accuracy to go with it all the way up to my +P loads. They are very similar powders as far as charge-weights and velocity. I used a lot of 3N37 for high performance loads before I began using Silhouette. Maybe a nice CZ would compete with it in my hands (I don't shoot 1911's well) but I am supremely happy with my SAO. I am excited to get out the chrono this spring when the outdoor range near me opens up again and I can get some good velocity readings on these new loads out of my new P226 SAO.Īlso as a side note, this Sig is the most accurate gun I have ever fired. As it goes with Unique, there was some significant flash all the way up the ladder test. 5.4gr and 5.6gr felt like factory loads where 5.8gr felt like +P territory. Accuracy really tightened up even as I was nearing my last shots of the day. Best groups at 7 yards were when I really pushed it in the upper range, at 5.6gr and 5.8gr. Seated at 1.130" COAL (I don't know why I changed from 1.160" to 1.130", but it worked). My Unique loading was from 4.8gr to 5.8gr, 10 rounds each in 0.2gr increments.

Full case mouth seal was around 5.3gr just FYI. 5.8gr felt like a factory duplicate load and would have been a single hole if I hadn't pulled a couple rounds. 5.2gr was a single ragged hole at 7 yards and very soft shooting. Found a couple sweet spots, 5.2gr and 5.8 gr both showed good promise. My Silhouette loading was from 5.1gr to 5.8gr, 5 rounds each in 0.1gr increments. I got a chance to run through a couple work ups today, one for Silhouette and one for Unique. General 9mm talk is fine in here with me as well.
